As dogs are in the news again due to irresponsible owners (I'm being polite), I thought it was time we saw some happy mutts.

I went hill walking at the weekend with two of mine:

I didn't take the old boy as he gets a bit stiff in the hips if he does too much, but he was happy to stay at home with my wife:

Took the three of them out this morning, it was a bit nippy so the old man had to wear his coat:

Let's see your happy dogs ;)

I've always been very scared of dogs but one of the things on CC I've quite liked is hearing about the stories of what Crackle, Snapper and Lisa21's dogs get up to and the accompanying photos.

I've met a number of people who are scared of dogs when out with mine. I'll call the dogs to heel and lay them down then invite the people to come and meet them. Some decline, but others have come to meet my dogs then gone on their way with a smile on their faces.

I suspect (and have nothing to back this up) that many people are scared of dogs due to never meeting dogs/media reporting as opposed to bad experiences.

I don't have a dog, but here are some photos of my friends' dogs.

Joss, now sadly deceased, on Holkham beach in Norfolk. Happy because he's found a stick.

Joss again, deliberately over exposed, in the dunes at Holkham Gap.

Danny the border collie, very proud of himself after digging a large hole for no reason whatever.

And finally, Danny at home after playing with the garden hose.

Ah, they're all gorgeous, I don't have any due to unsuitable accommodation at present, although I do work for an amimal charity so get lots of canine hugs each day anyway - best of both worlds!

errrr... .... having [post=1025055]mistakenly[/post] credited you with ownership of a dog from Google, I suppose least I can do is acknowledge your rightful pets! Nice pictures!

I have none to contribute, I'm afraid, I don't have any pets.
