I still love eBay!

I still love elements of it - the sheer range of stuff and ability to research sold prices.. However I'll never, ever sell on there again and increasingly find the process of buying unpleasant and problematic.

Sadly it seems it shares its enshitification with many other long-standing products and services - Windows being a prime example. Once clean, simple and fit for purpose yet now increasingly a horrible, dystunctional, exploititive experience that's begging to be canned in favour of a less unpleasant alternative.

Neither will I. Too many scammers and time wasters turn selling into a miserable experience.

I sold an ebike some time ago

I knew that several ebikes of exact same make and model had gone for £350 recently and mine had an extra battery and was in excellent condition

so I put it on for £400

some bloke contact me soon after it went up and said he would give me £200
I refused saying that I thought it was worth more and would prefer to wait as it had only just gone up
and he sent several messages saying I was being a fool and no-one would buy it and all sorts
he was really quite aggressive about it
and how stupid I was bing

after a couple of days I got an offer for £350 - then another for £400

the first bloke sent me another message demanding to give me £200 for it and when I told him I had sold it for £400 he called me a liar

with people like that on there it just isn;t worth the hassle sometimes!
