Another Fake WWII bike, this time spotted in person at Lytham 1940s weekend. It's a 1970s Raleigh Superbe with a bit of black paint covering up the chrome. I particularly like that there was no attempt to remove the 70s decals or pletcher rack.

He wants £350. I bought a real 1940s Raleigh Superbe a few months ago for £47.50.

They sure are odd looking them mk1's.
Guess they weren't fully jigged up yet at the workshop, so to do the main tube they put the pipe in a vice and walloped it to get a bend :laugh:

I just don't understand why someone would pay more for a product just because it's a bit rare - but then i've never understood the appeal of antiques either. I'm a heathen?
