A local shop once put a sign on the door when they went on holiday. "Back next Thursday"
Which was ok till it got Monday the following week.
 
I once got lectured on the importance of wearing a h*lm*t by a cyclist riding on the traffic side of me with his arms folded.
 
I trust you replied with the customary "f*** off you t***"?

No, I let him go on as we accelerated (down an empty, dry, and straight) road then shouted "Look out!" and braked hard.

He was 50 metres away and all over the road before he came to a stop, which rather made my point.

Anyhoo...there is some fact in the saying "it's too cold to snow", in the UK at least

Coldest weather in UK occurs in anticyclonic conditions ie. cloudless nights. Obviously it doesn't snow as there are no clouds. Most snowfall occurs when temp is only just below freezing as there must be cloud cover which stops the temperature falling too far
