I haven't seen this film yet but the trailer looks terrific - it's by the film maker who made 'Triplets of Belleville' - I know everyone likes that one ;)

Based on a script by Jacques Tati, the original was set in Prague but Sylvain Chomet moved it to Edinburgh where he lives and has his animation studio.

My daughter said it wasn't quite as bad as she expected. I hope that helps.

It was good. Very different to Belleville and TBH a mood essay rather than a story.

If you know the west coast of Scotland and Edinburgh you will find the animation absolutely stunning. And there are some sly touches in the detail - one run down shop off Princes Street is called Brown and Blair, for instance.
