October completed. Possibly less fab than
@robjh 's, due largely to October weather of the 'not good' kind: rain for about five hours and a strong wind which dropped away in the late afternoon, conveniently for me. I did a tour of the Dales, starting at Clapham and heading down to Gargrave to make my way up Wharfedale, along Wensleydale and then up to nearly Kirkby Stephen, along Mallerstang, before dropping down to Sedbergh, Kirkby Lonsdale, and back to Clapham. The photo below is about the clearest if ever became
The ride was made slightly nerve-wracking by my rear tyre gaining a 6mm cut (measured on arrival home) on the way up Kidstones at about 65km. It sealed quickly, but continued to bubble a bit for the remaining 100km/60m of the route. I have three different means of addressing punctures, but elected not to use any of them on the basis of leaving well alone and monitoring how soft it was. In the end, it was at 29psi on arrival home and felt the same as it had initially, so the bubbling must have been really minimal. 'Excitement' that I could have done without, but nonetheless a great ride on the basis of it always being good to get out, and then back again!
