The iPod Nano recall.

I've just taken the offer of a replacement first generation Nano. Don't think I'll tell 'em I replaced the battery myself a couple of years ago....

I don't believe they've really found a defect in the batteries, I bet they found a big carton of first gen Nanos in Steve Jobs's garage.

I've already sent three off I found in various drawers not being used.

So they will just send back the same Nano, new? They're not changing the batteries? That's a nightmare job - I can't imagine doing thousands of them.

Yep same here all 3 replaced with the latest gen 6 versions. Very Impressed.

Thank you all above ... I thought I had a 2nd Gen one ... but we just checked and seems it is a 1st Gen with a silver back. I hadn't even heard of the recall.

Don't get them used to complete quietness ... otherwise that is what they will have to have to go to sleep every time. They have been used to background noise anyway ... the mother's heart beat.
