Anyone else been following this?

Finishes tonight (time cut off) in Cordoba., having started in Santiago de Compostela. 1300km and 2300m (ish) of climbing. Women/Non-Binary/Trans/ event only. Some truly astonishing efforts over very rugged terrain, into Portugal, then back into Spain over some serious climbs. with ascents up to 2000m.

Incredibly the winner, Anna Richter, made it home in 3d 3h. One early finisher Em Wilson rode it on a cargo bike!

I'm guessing only 50 or so of the 150 starters will make the time cut. Race info here: https://www.lostdot.cc/101

You were pretty close! That was a toughie.

More like 23,000m of climbing than 2300 ;-) That's a lot in 1300km.
can't remember the cut-off time, but IIRC it was based on around 11kph. Compare that to a typical 1300km audax - where about 1-in-3 of a mixed field will DNF - is typically 12,000m climbing with min speed 12kph. I reckon that makes the "101" harder, all other things being equal - which they rarely are!

Yep, sorry, 23000m of climbing.

Cut off time was, I think, 6 days 6 hours, and approx 50 of the 150 starters achieved that. Winner, Anna Richter*, did it in an astonishing 3d 3h ish. My daughter finished in 5d 5h, 23rd place. Very proud of her.

Ride of the event for me was Em Wilson who rode home in the top 20 on a cargo bike!

* feed strategy fot Anna Richter. 2kg of castor sugar and 2kg of crisps and biscuits. None of this fancy energy bar/powder/gels stuff!

Daughter’s Dura figures for her last day .....
