The book is superb, must have read it 4 of 5 times, it is a much better account of his trip as a lot of the time he was in counties where getting arrested for spying is a real threat, so he didnt carry a vid camera and the BBC man only met him a few times on the trip.
Get the book its tip top

Worth reading;
Moods of Future Joys: round the world by bike, part 1
Thunder and Sunshine: round the world by bike, part 2,
by Alastair Humphreys.
He rides through Europe, middle East, the lenth of Africa (book 1) Then the lenth of North and South America, across Siberia in winter, Asia, the rest of Europe and home (doesn't sound too bad if you say it quick)
Well written, interesting and full of humility.
