They still have loads of things undergoing conservation, and objects are still being brought up from the site.

Think it had a similar preservation treatment to the Hasholme boat, which is a fair bit older.
Beena few years since I last went to see it as it was still being sprayed at the time.

When the exploration of the ship took place there were a couple of skeletons discovered

One was given a service burial in Southsea Cathedral

However (allegedly) as the coffin was small, a couple of the burial party were told off for a rendition of "What shall we do with the shrunken sailor"?

"May they rest in peace"? How many personalities did this shrunken sailor have?

It's difficult to sex skeletons if they're young enough - but it's known that there were a lot of women on board. Alternatively "they" could refer to all the members of the ship's company.

I know: I just get a bit frustrated at English lacking a gender-neutral third-person singular pronoun. The rather formal "one" isn't in common use.
