The Metric Century (100KM) A Month Challenge ChatZone

Did 80 mile Carlisle to Settle route as a reconnoiter of our club ride next month to mark th 150th Anniversary of the rail line (and Dementia Forward Charity fundraiser), stopping at every station en route.

Addendum: if anyone nearby fancies it, welcome to join us on May 1st. Possibly bike transport up from Settle (we take the train to Carlisle start), if we still have van space. Free, with a bit of support en route, voluntary donation to Dementia Forward.

Ah, I see that now. You're updating your original post rather than logging a new one for each ride. That's perfectly fine, I just needed to know that so I remember to go back and look when I'm updating the sheet.

May done. A much better ride than of late. Felt fine at the end.
I really like the Kent Downs as a cycling area, but riding to them and riding in them is all a bit much for me these days so I took an early train out to Sittingbourne and rode a big figure of 8. Up the Downs, down the Downs, up and down and back to Sittingbourne eventually. First ride in shorts of the year. Some of those little lanes are all one big pothole.
