One more month to go!
Wanted to get November's ride out of the way as soon as possible and with Sunday's weather being only misty, but no real sign of rain, it seemed like too good an opportunity to miss. Once you get to these final few months, you never know what the weather might bring so I'd rather bank the distance now rather than be panicking on the 29th.
Chose a route from one of my bank of pre-planned ones I have ready to go; this one went up to Turweston Aerodrome via Tingewick and back via Buckingham and Winslow. However as I rode I kept on adding on extra distance here, then cutting out other bits to take it back off there; so much so that the finished ride only vaguely resembled the original route.
Stopped for a pulled chicken and cheese toastie in Buckingham town centre which gave me a very welcome chance to warm up - it wasn't super cold out, but without any appearances from the sun through the endless grey, it wasn't exactly warm either. As I pulled into my home town, I knew I was about 0.1 miles short of the distance needed, so bunged on an extra lap to get me over the line.
