That's true! By the way, it got to see the open water swimming in the Triathalon....... Whilst I just appreciated the spectacle of lots of fit young ladies swimming, cycling and running about in their swimsuits. It made the Beach Voleyball look relatively tame in comparison!
Dunno, but i noticed that many of the swimmers were doing that too.

Meanwhile, NT and I have devised a portmanteau sport. 10m boxing - a boxing match on the 10m diving board. Get the right punch, and you knock the other guy off the board - BUT he can avoid a knockout if he does an impressive enough dive....

Oscar Pistorius might have just come last in his 400 meter heat, but, for a man with no legs he's done rather well, and the winner swapped name tags with him at the end, such is the respect for the guy! Wow!

The fact that he came last, to me, proves he should be there in the face of all the doubts. Clearly the race blades don't give him an unfair advantage, but to get to the semis, he must be good enough to have a try.

One of the British swimmers was wearing a blue cap instead of the red cap of the British team. The commentary said it was because the red caps were not very good.
Maybe they are wearing a decent cap underneath and the team colours on top?

Before the Paras started in 1948, the occasional disabled person competed in the Olympics, and I hope now that he and others can continue so long as they can reach the levels required. Heck, look at that South Korean Archer who set a new world record despite being blind!
