Yep. They are steaming tomorrow too. The steam sessions are every Wednesday and the first Sunday of the month plus bank holidays. It's next to the A1.

I've known about the place for five years, I pedalled past it on an Audax ride and have only just got my act together to pay it a visit.

Just noticed that the motor is 240v and the governor rings are accessible! Definate H&S nono, ours had a cover that prevented access to the gap between governor & motor.

A teleprinter only gives you upper case.

It truly was. I'm waiting for the British Engineerium at Hove to re-open in 2016. I'm looking forward to see how it has been redeveloped and improved. It was the bench mark of all things stationary steam engine related prior to its closure.
