He ate the choc's and made me a little man with the wrappers.

Bless him. Kids are wonderful. Little Tunk was telling me this morning all about light. "Light ON! Light OFF! Two Lights! Again! Light ON! Light OFF! Two Lights!"

After about 40 minutes, he lost interest and said "Bye Daddy See you soon" then tunked off downstairs. He's 19 months, so this is all pretty cool.

I haven't had a fag in 8 weeks, I feel bloody great, Mrs C has finally got over last week's PMS:biggrin: and Cubette won Scout of the Year Award. Hurrah.
Oh, and Cubester has outgrown a pair of cycling shoes, bought a pair that fit me, and will grow out of them in about three months. I will then be able to wear my 11 year old's hand-me-down:eek: Diadora Chilis.:rolleyes::biggrin:

I have a child/light story, made my sister and I smile anyway.

One evening last week, it got dark early, so sis put the main light on. Nephew Oli wanted all the table/standard lamps on too. Ok, but the one in the corner behind the sofa is really only decorative, and not plugged in, all the sockets being occupied. He wanted it on, so to avoid too much fuss, sis told a white lie and said "It's broken, we'll have to wait for Daddy (away in the States for work) to get home and fix it". I chipped in helpfully with "It needs a new bulb". Oli (2 and 2 months) looked at us both as if we were dippy women, and toddled out of the room. Perplexed, we looked at each other and then heard the kitchen cupboard being opened. "Oh," says sis, "He thought you said 'bowl', and he's gone to fetch one."

And it had. Only he'd forgotton quite what he wanted, and brought a plate...

We unplugged the computer to put the light on, and thanked him for being the Man about the House.

I did post this pic of my boy's new Islabike, his 2nd birthday present, in the gallery.

Makes me smile every time I look at it.

They are very cute. I'm waiting to hear that nephew Oli's taken to his, he was a little reluctant - partly perhaps because he tried it for size and did a few steps but the seat was a touch high and he wobbled, and by the time I'd put the seat down he was a bit spooked. His Dad will keep trying, and I'm sure it won't be long.

Mind you, the sight of Dad on it was hilarious! He'll knacker his knees!
