No photo, but I spotted the Royal Scotsman leaving Carlisle station at 12.08 last Monday.
Seems it was meant to be on a 5 day Clans, Castles and Isles trip.
Makes me wonder if they included a tour of Carlisle Castle, something I did between trains that day.
If the 5 dayer actually ran, train tickets are about £14,300.

Whilst waiting for my delayed Cross Country train from Bristol Parkway to Leeds this morning 57306 & 99010 passed thru the station.

... my day continued north & after arriving at Leeds, I took my folding bike out for a ride along the Trans Pennine Trail to Woodlesford, as I arrived at the station my Insta360 X3 caught the following ... !!!

These are 40 years old now. You'll miss them when they're gone.

Regarding yesterday's crash, what were the chances that both units had numbers ending in '15'? 🤔

Yeah 360115 and 810015.

Weird!

Both ending in the same number, '15... One now wonders how many times that has happened?

Also, consecutive numbers too... 🤔

I've asked around and the closest I have seen so far was the fact that a lot of the class 33s' that ended in '4' seemed to have an inordinate number of prangs. Not with one an other in the same accident though.

A selection of today’s motive power. The saddle tank (Edward Thomas, I believe but with no nameplate) took our train out but failed before Dolgoch Falls as the injectors couldn’t cope with the temperature of the water in the tanks, apparently. We had to be rescued by the diesel. Dolgoch pulling the special, then later Tom Rolt taking over from the failed loco for the fourth train

Yes Edward Thomas. Built 1921 for the Corris Railway and acquired by the Talyllyn in 1951.
