I saw this on breakfast TV this morning and was suitably impressed by both the wee boy and the lady who couldn't find anyone to teach her how to ride until she was well into her 50's. I did notice that the council in my area was looking for someone to do the bikeability thing, I may make this year one to help others.

Some people have said 'Oh my goodness me - four minutes? That is not a very long time!' Well, I would remind those doubters that some people in this great country of ours can run a mile in four minutes.

I do andvanced road, advanced off road, maintenance, navigstion, first aid, search and rescue and defensive tactics training for SAR cyclists, and previously other EMS workers. Many of my students hadn't sat astride a bike in decades, and it was very satisfying watching them progress.
