The realisation you're getting old

When you wander into motorway services and find that you have no idea how to buy a cheeseburger without installing some company's crappy software on your phone.

I have yet to find one where that is remotely necessary.

In services there are always kiosks/stands with touchscreens where you can place your order, sometimes you can even talk to the staff to order. Some do require payment by card, and seem to expect that to be contactless, but that doesn't need a phone.

It CAN sometimes be quicker and easier to order using their app on your phone, but that is never necessary, and I have never done so.

When did a Big Mac Meal stop being £2.88? I went for a McPiss a few weeks ago and was shocked!

Their coffee isn't that bad!

Except that it's optional, you can get a bigger pension by deferring if you want to.

Yes, I intend doing that.

I hit state pension age next January, but am not ready to retire fully yet. I will probably go part time from then, and defer my state pension until I fully retire.
