After a day on the corridor it's got to be an improvement.

I have had my lunch. After the rain this morning, we now have blue skies and sunshine.

I am still pottering in my workroom as well.

Home from the hossy. Very pleased to hear Mrs D Doesn't have cancer, although what she does have (in addition to the MS and diabetes) is still no laughing matter. Nevertheless, it can be managed to the prognosis is rosy.

Just letting you all know.......there is ambulance on the way to pick me up and take me in to hospital.
I have eaten absolutely nothing for 9 days and my body is shutting down. I can hardly walk to the downstairs bathroom.
I am vomiting but it's just bile as I have no food in me.
I am hoping they can put me on an intravenous drip to feed me.
I will try and keep you in touch.

While I'm sure this is frustrating my experience of the NHS is that when things must be done quickly they are. I would take the lack of urgency as a positive sign.

Her feller is an extremely large semi pro rugbyist and he went rushing out in his boxers. The guy looked ready to leg it and BF advised that if Johnny Scumbag made him break into a sweat he'd regret it,so said Scumbag did the sensible thing and waited for the police to arrive to beat him up instead.

Hopefully one ray of hope. It was a one owner full BMW history car but she got it cheap as it really needed a new clutch, and that's a £1400 job. The good news is her mechanic is on holiday and was going to do it next week, so she hasn't wasted money on a new clutch yet. The other good news is I can't find a single one for sale anywhere of comparable spec/age/history for remotely close to what she paid so I'm hoping she'll get a decent offer.

She's also claiming for the damage to the garden and for the tree that might have to come down.

Useless but related fact. I joined the police in 1991, and there were still plenty of "pre-PACE" old sweats in the job. If they'd gone to a job like this and discovered the victim was a coppers daughter the suspect would have been given a seriously good hiding for his trouble. Seen a few dished out, but hand on heart never partook.

My Mum heard several times on the Police radio - when you could fidn it on a normal one - coppers arriving at a "dodgy" pub and saying" we're not going in until xxxxx gets here
he never had to hit anyone - he just grabbed them and loomed and the *** themselves

but he knew a lot of coppers that were "old school" and he didn;t have much respect for them - pity some of them were sergeants!

anyway - hope you daughter and her fella get over the shock - and the insurance company pay up and screw u the culprits ratings!
