Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I have been pottering. My grandson and his girlfriend bought a fly sheet for the yearling that they bought a few weeks ago, but it didn't fit. He couldn't take it back and exchange it because his girlfriend left it on the gate and the youngster got hold of it and threw it around. It got grass all over it, so I have been extending it so hopefully it will fit him for a month or so before he grows to big for it.

I think I am going to have to sell my gorgeous, ludicrously low mileage (288 miles) bike. ☹️

Made some decisions today based on illness and this is one of them.

No way will I get out on it for a year or two, so may as well sell it and go electric assist next time.

Grrrr!
Okay you plan on going e-assist. But why sell the bike you have?

Is it sat there as a reminder of what you can't do, at present, or as a target to aim for on Recovery Road. I'd be aiming for the second option.
This setback is only temporary, you could be wanting back on, and actually getting back on it sooner than you think.

Can't speak for Spokey but sometimes you have to face reality.
When it happened to Me I just knew I would never ride again.
I had a nice carbon road bike and a hard tail.
My son suddenly became 2 bikes better off.

Good morning all.
A decent night's sleep last night, just woken 3 times by various nurses. For some reason they check blood pressure etc every 3 hours and if you are asleep they wake you.
I am on yet another medicine as the Doctor says my Magnesium levels are low......hey ho.

I've experienced periods when I thought I would never ride again. I've laid awake at night composing adverts to sell my bikes, kit etc. and feeling it was all done. Each time, there were many, the next day I realised it would be a poor decision.

Getting back on your bike is something you will want to do. She will wait for you.

Good morning all. It's absolutely peeing down here. Wet, wet, wet. @Dave7 you sound positively perky this morning. Good stuff! 👍

A new chapter begins today. #1SP, she's 4½, has a sister, #3SP who is 6 months old. Today both #1 and #3 are coming to us. Until September we will be childminding both on a Tuesday. #1SP starts school in September.

The rain is very unwelcome. It's too wet to take small ones out. We'll be in the house all day which will be a bit testing, especially for #1 who is just a bundle of non-stop energy.
