Went for a ride again
As the wind was coming from the West I decided to go mad and ride into it and go to SPeke Hall
well - to be honest - Speke Hall Cafe
got there - had coffee and scone and left by that back entrance they don;t want people to know about that comes out right by the Western end of the airport runway
then wound my way round trying to find the way to the main road
found it and road along the very good - but rather neglected - cycle path
then - abou thalf way back - it stopped
after looking round I saw a path - that could possibly be a cycle path if you reduced your expectations rather a lot
so I followed it and it went up between high bushed with brambled brushing my legs on both side - it was that narrow
then it turn sharp right onto a T-junction
to the left were some gates that looked like they were last opened when Everton won something
so I went right which went down a slight slope which led only to what could be referred to as a subway bridge
a very low subway bridge that looked about as well looked after as the previous path - and probably a great place to hang otu selling drugs
I went through it - quickly - and found myself on the edge of a dodgy looking estate
I followed the road round the outside and things got better and eventually I ended up on a road I knew
but honestly
there are a lot of good cycle paths round here
but sometimes once they are built they don;t do anything to maintain them
and the start and endings of them can often be best interpreted via a psychic or some sort of pagan ritual
anyway - got home OK after all that

£77, but they changed both the heated jets at £14.75 each and the pump was £22.50 the rest was labour
Today's ride out on the Royal went well. Only 7 miles but I have a bit of muscle wastage where the new knee is so I need to build it up if possible. I'll be out and about again tomorrow.
I cooked a nice fish pie I know some of the collective don't like a fish pie, but it was very nice.
MrsP has purchased a new tower fan as our old one was a bit puny.
It seems to work well.
