Scorchio. I'm wilting, and not finding much cheers in the news, except maybe for this.

Inflation stuck at 3.4% which doesn't really tally with our own domestic figure which is much higher.

But, more importantly, chocolate prices are increasing at an even higher rate! How much is my favourite Aldi 85% cocoa chocolate going to cost now? It has already almost doubled in price in the last couple of years!

Agreed. I don't run spreadsheets in the way I suspect you do but, yes, I see all our weekly and monthly costs continuing to increase inexorably.

As for Aldi chocolate. It's delicious but keeps going up and up and up.

It's interesting I've noticed the quality of some Aldi products declining as the company tries to maintain its market position. Washing up liquid is a good one. The own brand is nothing like what it was. The 1.5 litre bottle of Fairy is now much better value.

Inflation at the end of September is the one I keep my eye on for pension increase.

Agreed. I don't run spreadsheets in the way I suspect you do but, yes, I see all our weekly and monthly costs continuing you to increase inexorably.

It is but for Fairy liquid it's very good value. I keep the 1.5l under the sink and decant it in to a smaller bottle as and when.

My Fairy liquid is 1450ml and yes it does last a long time

Good grief! Had she been ill?

It would seem she was.
Her niece explaining how it happened.

She went for an afternoon nap, saying ''wake me an hour''. I went back an hour later with a cup of tea, and she was gone. Thanks for the kind sentiments though. xx

She lived with her female partner and was a very good mechanic for cars etc , remember ?
