I was up at the Co-op on my way back from my walk and treated myself to one of their fancy sandwiches. Aberdeen Angus beef and caramelised onion. Very tasty but at £4.75 just buy them occasionally.

Tesco do those in their Finest range(or did, don't know if still do). Beef, Stilton and caramelised onion. Really nice and I used to buy on way into work sometimes.

Been away in my little holiday home in the south for a few days , cutting hedges and mowing lawns . The hedges knackered me , lots of them and very high .

We had fish today. Battered cod, calamari, battered prawns, beetroot and peas.

Well that's a good mix.
Beetroot and fish is a new one on me though.

Fair enough. I have to say though I do enjoy a drink, a few beers and several glasses of vino collapso really hit the spot at times.
Is it healthy? No but it's rather nice and I kid myself that all the cycling and other exercise I do offsets it.

I agree, however 60+years of pushing it to/over the limit has caught up with me and my liver.

I would miss internet, but I would love more peace and quiet. When I came to Crieff I think the population was about 6,000. It’s rapidly approaching 8,000 and feels so much noisier and busier. So much so that I wouldn’t mind moving back to the village I am from.

I feel your pain as I have similar although worse I think as ours are up on a bank. This photo doesn't show depth of hedge in places, a struggle to reach across to cut.

brought my oldest little dog with me , nearly 17 now and stone blind . She loved the grass and could walk around for ages without bumping into things!

I feel your pain as I have similar although worse I think as ours are up on a bank. This photo doesn't show depth of hedge in places, a struggle to reach across to cut.
