This morning I was trying to explain to MrsPete that, if I invented an all-in-one kitchen appliance that would be a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher for those folk, like us, who have a small kitch, that a major problem would be the spin cycle... 🤷‍♂️

I have to be careful here as I said I am officially banned but for complicated reasons it has been lifted for a few hours. I don't want to aggrevate things.
Basically it revolves around a joke I posted. I personally can't see anything wrong with it and have asked the mods to tell me exactly what was wrong with it.
So.... assuming they don't remove this post ......look after yourselves and behave ^_^
You look after yerself, or else...

Morning troublemakers!
Dry day ahead, might even almost reach double figures 🫣
Using our NT cards to head to Stoneywell - an Arts & Crafts place nearby. Never been, but we are trying to storm NT places this year (first time we’ve bought membership) 💪
Then plans for decorating will begin…a lot to clear first 😳
Looking forward to the last Traitors on Thursday evening 👀

Good morning. Well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs.

A bright and breezy day here. This is good news. I'm hoping it will dry the leaves on the allotment so I can blow them around. Some will be piled 6" deep inside my fruit cage as a mulch. Some on the compost heap, not many as they can make a wet soggy layer that doesn't rot. The rest I'll blow out the back gate on to the dirt track that runs behind my allotment.

First I have to return to #3 son's house; curtain pole, shelves and wall mirror. First though I have to go in search of extra long electrical socket screws. #1SP's bedroom has been skimmed, now the plaster is deeper two wall sockets don't fit well and are loose. I can't ignore that, I'd never forgive myself if something happened. Yesterday also highlighted my lad needs a decent head torch and set of Allen keys with handles. I'll order those from Screwfix for collection this morning.

It's amazing the stuff one collects over the years. Like a head torch and Allen key set. Even more so screws. I'm not known for my DIY or other practical abilities but never throw little bits left over away - just in case. I always keep undamaged screws and have a well organised screw collection. People smile quietly at each other, they exchange pitying looks.......UNTIL when you NEED four extra long electrical screws Granddad within moments can produce two from his well organised screw collection. Sadly I need four but one does one's best. I don't always get the credit I deserve. 😂😂😂

to be pedantic - the spin cycle wouldn't be the problem

using the dishes after would be the problem

An expanding plate rack with clips on the top of each slot. Insert in drum and adjust until it mates with the sides. Slot the plates in from front to back and engage the clips. Rotate the drum to the next row of slots, rinse and repeat.

So I gave up motorcycling this past summer. I figured I had survived 47 years of it with no major damage so why push my luck in the currently depreciating traffic situation… you know, too many idiots on cell phones.

So today I stripped all the armour out of my bike jackets so I could wear them comfortably in the normal world. Beats the hell out of tossing an 800 dollar jacket right.

So now what do I do with this pile of armour? Some of it, the orange stuff, is that high tech reactive stuff. Soft sponge until you hit it sharply, at which point it instantly goes rigid, returning to squidgy soft immediately after. Cool stuff. The science types call it a non-Newtonian polymer.

Might make some interesting toys for the bedroom?!

The orange armour is D30 and expensive, stick it on eBay it’ll fetch some money.

That must have involved a lot of careful unpicking and restitching. Interesting to read about this sort of material as it's new to me. I think my approach would be to sell the jacket and use those funds to buy a civilian one.

The armour was contained in shaped pockets closed with Velcro. Some jacket were sold without armour so you could choose your own or go without. The jackets wear well without it so I figured I’d dump the plates and keep them.

D3O seems to be the most populate of the reactive type. There are some fun videos on their website.
