I think Desperate Dan was the Dandy though it's some years since I read it.

Yes - I used to know a bloke who spent most or his working life as an officer on merchant ships
all proper British flagged and all that

but apparently the pension funds were "invested" in something that went bust

so his pension for all that time is enough to maybe buy a Mars bar every month - or that was how he described it

He and his wife lived in a nice house in West Kirby as he had a good salary after that looking after the local Police radio and comms system

but he reckoned that he had to work until he just COULD not
then they would have to moved house to somewhere cheaper as the pension from the Police stuff would be good but as it was only a few years then it would never cover their expenses ina decent house

Wasn't there something about The Daily Mail pensions at one point - and a large splash off the back of a boat???

Which is, of course, why protections were put in place and things are better nowadays (

Now here's a thing, bear with me as I'm attaching a photo that I bored you with a while ago...... then the reason for sending it.

My lughole.
I am thinking of a tattoo on my neck just below the stud. A small one, maybe 2" in height x ?? wide. No idea what to have so am seeing the artist on Wednesday.
Here's the thing....... when I googled it there is one called DRAGO'S .
Unfortunately there is no parking close by and I need that.
I have chosen one called DAVE which could be worse.
Question........
What tattoo should I have ??

#2SP is poorly. I was warned. 🤧👩‍🍳 Anyway we went to toddler gymnastics which she loved. As soon as we got in she crashed out in Granddad's arms - it's the trust I love. Now had a big lunch and we've had a chilled afternoon of cuddles and nursery rhymes. I'm taking her home in better condition than she arrived.
