Good morning folks,
Slept well after yesterday's sojourn to Bristol. Apparently my brother can get to Dorchester relatively easily so our next meet up won't be such a trek for me. Planning on heading out for a run to loosen up the legs, Mrs Tkk is going to Pilates ( it's so popular that if she doesn't book immediately the class becomes available then it's on the waiting list for a place ).

Yep, get that. I would have been interested for a month at best. I have an energy monitor in the house already, have had for 45 years. Her name is Mrs P......it's cold why isn't that thermostat working...........................I have long since given up on explaining this.

If you ask they will send you an Octopus " mini " which is a little pink gizmo which talks to your start meter in real time and displays usage by day / week / month / year. You can select kWh used, or cost, this is me so far today:

The continual, repetitive and irritating adverts on the radio going on and on about how wonderful Octopus Energy are “I’d sell my whole house and contents and give the proceeds to Octopus” puts me off ever using them.

Incredibly not raining and looking brighter, so much so an actual ride outside is a possiblity before the heavens open again tomorrow.

Still raining so I hopped on Zwift for an hour then had my breakfast. I will no doubt sit here on the computer for at least a couple of hours.

Right - so I'm awake enough to look at the weather forecast

and it look non-rainy

so and i am not committed to anythign with grand kids or anything else

so where to go for a ride

Option 1 - normal ride along the canals - but the canal path for the main Bridgewater section will be wet and muddy
so the bike will get filthy

Option 2 - Airport - but I am getting bored with that
or The Dream but that involves coming back on roads

Salut. I have just found out there is a petanque club just a few miles from here. They meet every Sunday at 1.30 pm for a game. I was brought up playing petanque regularly and still play every time I visit my brothers in France.
I won't be able to go this week end but might give it a try the following week end. I have my own boules in my shed and will get them out later.

I went onto it anyway and unwatched it and re-watched it and not it seems OK

I may have missed some very important pearls of wisdom from yesterday evening though!!!
