My daughter went to the opening of the new Go Outdoors this morning as David Seaman was there signing stuff etc.
Daughter got phone case, grandson's goalie gloves and an autograph on a card signed.
She also asked him if he'd be kind enough to record a message on her phone for grandson & his team as they were playing in a cup match today.
He was really obliging and sent a lovely 'good luck, train hard & play to win' message for him and the team that daughter sent to the team manager to play to them before the match.
Must have worked as they won! 😋

He comes across as a nice guy.
Good goalie as well (then not now).

Well i have told you about my mate.the one who was my Manager at the delivery office i worked at.The one who took me out for breakfast to fatten me up after he heard about my cancer.Well he is still doing it two years after. So today he brought our Christmas card, with a little treat in it.Treat £60,so i shared it with Mrs P and our two kids,a little tipple and lattes on my horizon.

We have just returned after a four night trip on Paddle Steamer Emmy Lou plying the Murray River.
We were extremely well fed and watered but our cabin was extremely compact with a narrow gap between the double bed and the en suite.
Getting out of bed was a team effort!.

Good morning. We seem to be on the edge of rain as well, occassional 30 second heavy bursts and then stops. Forecast is 95% rain all day. I'm sinning, yes right now, I'm in the middle of sinning........my overshoes are in the washing machine..........don't tell @PeteXXX it might give him ideas. I have occasionally put my road shoes through the washing machine but only when it became essential!

Today? There is ironing to do and I guess that will be next. I've been told we're going Christmas shopping this afternoon. This is highly unusual. Mrs P can't drive or carry much with her broken clavicle so for the first time in probably 25+ years I'm required. Guess I'm lucky to have got away with it for this long. Tonight we're going to see Brian Bilston at Chorley Little Theatre, a great community theatre run entirely by volunteers. They book some very, very good people and always sell out.

Despite the dreary, damp, chilly weather we had a great ride yesterday - 58 miles, 14.8 avg. Not bad for winter bikes, headwinds and wet. The usual story, no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing. As you know I'm a big fan of Lusso and Galibier. I was interested in the cafe stop that a couple of people quizzed me about my Lusso kit. That's a new question. One of our female club members is the current female face of Lusso, a lovely lady and one hell of a rider.

I must go.............those overshoes won't iron themselves  ^_^
