Even when it's not bad, the media seem to manage to spin it to make it sound bad. I barely watch the news now.

I have had enough of the whole damn lot - media and politicians.

Lie upon lie upon lie they spout, and especially politicians who simply refuse to answer questions, and instead of answering, just churn out some unrelated mantra.

Can't say more, as ever...

Good news!

I have received the results of my bone marrow biopsy and I am what is called Measurable Residual Disease Negative. This means that using the most sophisticated medical technology available no cancer cells were found in my bone marrow sample. The 4 chemo sessions appear to have done their job.

We are beyond happy and that will do us as an Xmas pressie.

Morning all.
Wet this morning but supposed to be dry from lunch time.
C/H guy is calling to sort some problems out. Two problems he has tried in vain to fix are........
1. The radiator in the bedroom gets hot but if I try to lower the temp it affects the whole system......so it's either fully on or off. Its had a new T Valve so it's not that.
2. The rad in the lounge only gets warm. Not an air block and the one before and after it (in the system) get hot.
.......we shall see.

Let us know what the cause was if he manages to suss it out

We watch a lot of news - from a variety of sources

Things that really annoys me is when a politician is determined on getting their POV across no matetr what
so sees no problem with just raining their voice and talking over the other people on the show

Often this is a man talking loudly over a woman - they often see women as lesser and their voice it higher pitched so they just talk over her
no always - they are also happy talking over men if they can

and they do not get called out on it often enough

as an ex teacher I have more strength in my voice that people realise and I would use it - I would have to do it , to stop myself hitting the arrogant git in some cases!!

Wonderful ! " I bring you tidings of great Joy "

I'm annoyed

I was on "another forum" - one that if more general but has some cycling sections, and someone had asked why some bikes use Schraeder vales when Presta are better

anyway - I asked why they are better and asked for details in case I was missing something

Yea Gods!
mostly the replies are just abusive and telling me that I am dumb and have a crap bike
and I am an idiot because the vast majority of bikes come with Presta vales
which is not true - both our bikes have Schrader and my previous one had it
so had my one before that and the one I had for many years when I was a kid

They have it because the wheels are designed for it - which I was told was not possible!

There are some seriously morons that think they are cyclists

Dropped the parcel off at the Post Office and carried on up the trailway to Wimborne. First stop was the Burley Baker for essential supplies ( cheese scones, teacakes and cinnamon swirls, and a focaccia. Saw this chap as I was heading between shops.

I don't know the forum concerned but I've experienced similar elsewhere. These people lead very, very sad lives having nothing better to do with their lives than pick fights on the internet. I pity them. Not sorry for them but pity them.

Good afternoon. The sun arrived, late. Just as well my buddy couldn't ride as we would have got very wet indeed. I had a dreadful sleep and have only just begun to feel human. I've spent the morning catching up on email etc and trying to make use of a day when I've relatively little energy. This afternoon I'm off to see my PT which I know will gee me up. Mrs P has returned home from Christmas shopping and announced she's making tea. Excellent news! On the down side she "popped into Waitrose" to get "some bits" - on my way to the PT I will go to Tesco and do a proper shop for things we haven't got!!!

The vegetable soup I had for lunch seems to be improving my general well-being. I'm looking forward to this evening's G&T as this should increase my general well-being even more!!
