One of life's deeper and more complex mysteries has been revealed to me. It happened outside Aldi. Ever wondered why some trolleys are hanging about, unchained, no £1 needed? Well now. First obtain one of those key thingies used to open sardine tins. Insert the broad end into the lock where the £ goes, wiggle about and the chain lock releases.

I watched a man do it. I think keeping a £1 in the car is easier.

A while ago the Charity tokens that you use to vote for a charity for the money from $somethingorother ges to
were exactly the right size to use instead of a pound coin

They did that so it was easy for the workers moving them around to release them

but, naturally, people found out
I found out by finding a few under the trolley one day and though I would try it

so I always kept a few in the car

Used to have 3 - but last time I got the car washed at the Waves place in the Tesco car park the disappeared

so I only have the one that I was using left

the ones they use now are a bit bigger to stop all that!

RIght - been for a ride

I got wet - not too bad just light rain off and on on the way back

nice day and a few boats chugging around on the canals - which I didn;t expect at this time of year

I JUST HAPPENED to run across the Dinky Cafe Boat on the way out

funny how that happens

They were saying that business is going great - even in this weather when they have to cancel quite often as the weather is too bad
if it is raining too much it just goes into the hatch and they can;t work
and too much wind means it is too difficult to get out of the marina where they live and moor up

anyway - I needed a ride at some point while I am having to wear this heart monitor
no point in having it is all I do all week if sit on the sofa and g to Tesco because the weather is carp!

Oh - on my ride back today I passed a skeleton

not a whole body - just the spine and rib cage

it was raining so I just assumed it was plastic

so if anyone sees anything about a serial killer in the Runcorn area that is stripping bodies down to the bones and leaving them by canal bridges - can you let me know please

thanks!

I saw a guy use the rounded end of a yale type key. No idea if they are a universal
size.
I keep a pound in the car and a token on my car key ring.

How long have you been vegetarian? Do you not like the taste/texture of meat or is it for ethical reasons? I think I might have asked before but can’t remember what you said.

I keep researching different types of diets and find it hard to get my head round the extremes like long term carnivore or vegan. I think for me, ditching the ultra processed stuff and just concentrating on whole foods with a good mix of leaner meat and fish combined with plenty of fruit and veg feels the way to go. I’ve been eating better since just before Christmas and hope I can keep it up.

Sounds like you're on the right path with the whole food diet Mo. " Eat food, not too much, mainly plants " is sound advice. I've read several opinions that ultra processed food should be looked on much as cigarette smoking is.
I've been veggie for more than 60 years. It's something I came to very early in life and is second nature to me now.
You're a very active lady and can get away with a lot more than other more sedentary people can. Food should bring pleasure and enjoyment into your life and once you find an easy to follow regime that works for you there will be no stopping you 👍
