Cycling is clearly the answer 💪

Meanwhile, temperatures are taking a tumble here later in the week…..Weds night could hit -14°C 200m below where we are, and on the top of the main lift could be -24 🥶
Methinks Thursday might not be a ski day 🫣
Must make the most of things today and tomorrow…..it did feel a lot colder yesterday than previously.
Still, mustn’t grumble….the snow is fab, and getting MrsMikeIOW down a narrow steep black run yesterday (willingly!) felt something of an achievement for our trip 💪

Went to a physion yesterday about my feet and legs
basically I had a problem a few months ago but have had different problems over the years

so we thought it would be best to try to stop it happening again

anyway - turns out that my feet point in the wrong direction - not straight forward more outwards than normal
and my ankles, knees and wrists and finger are bend far too far backwards

and as a result In have bone spurs and something similar on my knees
and also my knees get more wear and tear than those of normal people

AKA - my legs are weird and I walk like a duck

anyway - he suggested some insoles - but couldn;t suggest anything specific
so I will have to try a few and see which ones don;t cripple me!!

All this is one reason I cycle - when my feet/knees hurt - cycling is still OK!!!

A question.... do you quack like a duck.
If no then you're OK
If yes then you have a problem.
On a serious note (2 actually).......
1. Sue's cousin was really born with her feet 'back to front'. Poor girl had countless operations as a kid and wore callipers all her life.
2. My daughter had foot problems as a toddler. The specialist recommended we get her some clogs. At the time there was a clog maker in Warrington (name was Gandy). We duly got some made and they really worked.
I have kept those clogs for best part of 55+ years..... photo includes remote for size comparison.

Barnet,
Good morning all.
A bit of a cloudy start to the day here.
The first of the bin lorries should be down soon
I'm meeting up with the Old Codgers group of retired railwaymen for brunch this morning.
We are now going to a new venue in Cuffley as the owner of the last café, which we have been using for 5 years, more or less banned us for being too noisy. 14 or 15 meals plus teas and coffees means he has lost getting on for £200 quid. He did say we could sit outside 😮 His loss.
