Pleasant riverside trail walked.

I met a guy with a hand trailer with bollards, etc heading out to set up a trial for a local park run. They are testing it out today and hoping to start officially in 2 weeks time. Sadly, a few years too late for me as my running legs are almost gone with all the nerve damage. He did say lots of people walk all or most of it too and I should still give it a go.

Yup - I should do that
apparently the tail end is always an official that just checks everyone is OK and stuff
but they normally end up walking round with others that can;t/don;t want to run

I certainly should not run (unless I want to be walking witha stick for a few weeks after) but walking round would be OK
and I could do a 4 miles ride there and back to feel "virtuous"

but it would mean getting up early!!!

More seriously - I seem to have an Easter Present from the grand kids
my throat is not feeling OK and when I came down this morning I was freezing

for me to feel cold first thing it normally needs to be 15 or less and it was well over 17

so I think I have the lurgy of some kind

doesn;t look like a good day for a ride anyway!

Just been out for my walk, im very pleased with that. My shins and feet were hurting as it 3rd day in a row after several years of shuffling 100 yards aided by the stroller.
2 points......
1. Its decidedly parky out there.
2. When I walk through the country park I feel like im the only person in the world that doesn't own a dog.

Good morning from a cloudy Dorset. Granddaughter has discovered sourdough crumpets and wants them for every meal 😮. This morning's Mandarin lesson did not go well due my mispronunciation of " Nī qù " ( sounds a bit like knee shoe ". I say " knee shoe ", grandaughter says "NO! grandad, it's pronounced " knee shoe " with a slightly different intonation. I repeat it back, " NO! " knee shoe grandad". rinse and repeat several times with granddaughter getting more irate with each of my attempts. Admonished by a 7 year old at my age, 🤣
