Good morning all. Sat up late (for me) watching a fillum, slept heavy and now trying to come round.
I've mentioned that I'm a member of a group, "friends of Peel Hall park" . Some idiots thought it was fun to smash bottles around the kids playground....glass everywhere. So at 11.00 I am with a group armed with brush and shovel going to clear it up. Could do without the rain but it has to be done.

Good man. 👏 well done to all involved.

1 rainy and grim looking day.

3 tiny baby rabbits munching away on the lawn.

2 squirrels alongside them.

2 coffees made.

2 lazy sods in bed drinking them.

1 'have a good day' message to you all.

Good morning. 'Tis grey and cool which is really quite pleasant. Lots of rain over night which is a good thing as my grass seed is still hoping to germinate and I won't need to get the hose pipe out today, It's a bits and pieces day, lots of minor chores to attend to. Mrs P has looked at the lamb chops I got out for tonight's tea "Are these mine?" she asked.......................it was a small lamb I replied as I went to the freezer for two more...................for me apparently.

Hi folks :okay: enjoyed my morning spin even though its cold, cloudy day :okay:
The garden is growing well, roses all flourishing and should all flower this year. Very pleased i installed a birdbath as its very entertaining! i can sit on my diy bench seat with the birds just feet away having a pool party ^_^ i actually get splashed by the more exuberant bathers! My front garden has loads of wallflowers in bloom in red and yellow...bit 'loud' for my taste but the bee's are enjoying them. Will take some pics when the sun returns :okay:

Our park cleanup involved more than I thought. We are going to paint the metal seats but they must be sanded down first. Clearing up, cutting back vegetation was done.
The old geezer sanding down is me.

Interesting little thing yesterday when I went for a ride

I was going along a tarmac path from SPike Island and there was a couple ahead of me - wlaking side by side so taking up most of the path

which is clearly fine

so I rang my bell - a dring dring type and reasonably loud and slowed down

zero reaction
slowed down more and said "excuse me please"
all as usual - some people are miles away

anyway - the man stepped to the side and his wife looked at him then back to me and went over to him clutching his arm

so I rode past and said "thank you"

so which she replied "Did you ring your bell"

now - normally that might just be a question - but it had an edge to it
a sort of "you are supposed to have a bell and you are therefore in the wrong"
sort of edge

I answer "yes - a few seconds before I said "excuse me""

I wish I could have seen her face at that point
she was clearly indicating it was not her fault
which is wasn;t anyway

but it is weird when people try to make me to blame when no-one was to blame in the first place!!

Today woke up to a finally damp garden but it's not really been enough.

Otherwise spent the day doing small garden jobs including getting the tomatoes in to the greenhouse; then beans on toast for lunch and tidying the peas and putting more supports up for them.

If I get chance I'll try and sort the clunky headset on the Helium (hope it's the headset and not something with the frame).
