I've been shopping

I met a couple of blokes at the car park which starts the Pyg Track up Snowdon
They had got back late and missed the last bus so I gave them a lift back to their hotel

they offered me the bus fare/petrol but I refused as I was just out for a drive anyway

Their immediate reaction was that they would do something similar in the future and count it as on my behalf

Which is the sort of person who makes the World go round

I read someone saying that if every time someone did someone else a favour like that - they asked them to try to do a favour for 5 different people in the future
with the same "payment" of favours for others

then within a few decades everyone in the World would be trying to find someone to be nice to



it is a nice idea

Many years ago I was driving home and walking/staggering the opposite direction was a young guy carrying a record deck and loads of records.... he looked ready to collapse.
I turned around, asked him where he was heading, got his gear in the car and drove him there.
Cant remember the conversation but think he was a wanabe disc jockey. Was just nice to help someone.

I posted t'other day about the BBC doing a prog on our rapidly expanding group 'Friends of Peel Hall Park'.

I don't wear Y-fronts.

I dropped my car keys at the back of the radiater............I had to go fishing with a piece of cable with a hook on the end

I have recently taken possession of a wire thingy with a grabby thingy on the end

for exactly that sort of thing

it was prompted by the middle grandson having his toys in the bath and one of them just happened to be JUST the right size and shape to fit down the plug and round the corner - only a hand sticking out

His Dad came round with a fibreoptic grabby thing (he works in an operating theatre - but he said he didn;t bring it home from work!)
which got it into view
but I needed the cheap and cheerful version to actually get the thing out

no doubt I will loose track of where it is by the time I need it again!!

That's a shame, I know a guy that's selling some 2nd hand ones, only been worn for 6 years.

They tend to have quite sharp tips
