Weird thing on my ride today
I did the normal - started Strava and sent the beacon message to my wife - which lets her see where I am
all seemed normal - Strava was tracking my ride fine so I started off
My wife checked after a few minutes and saw that I was a bit down the road
Then - according to her view of it - I just stopped
when I got home I checked and my App seemed to have absolutely no record of the ride at all
looked like I had never started it recording
but I know I did and it was working
and my wife could see it by the beacon link
The web view on my laptop also says - nah, never happened

A fine soirée gastranomique at Bistrot Pierre with a dozen pals last night - food was decent, the banter excellent, they were very busy for a Tuesday night but I’d recommend it 🍻👍
We helped a friend with some gardening today…..sadly my extending Ryobi hedge trimmer now won’t click in place. A job to open up & investigate…..or pay £100+ for a new one 🙄. It’s had 5 reasonably hard years, so I perhaps shouldn’t grumble in these days of built-in obsolescence 🫣
…but off to Reeth tomorrow to visit other mates for a few days first. I see pub, walking, cafe, pubs in our near future 😎

Coooeeee. 13 deg here. Well that was an interesting night. Thunder, lightning and torrential rain. My poor hanging baskets have taken quite a bashing. I don't think I've seen or heard as much thunder and lightning in one storm.

Good morning. Clear skies, cool and a gentle breeze. We had gentle overnight rain which has done little more than wet the soil surface but it will give my plants some light relief from the heat.
My butts have been refurbished and rearranged. Hopefully these will fill better, be easier to access. A major allotment fail yesterday. Sweet pea framework built and peas planted. Courgettes to plant today and that's everything major completed.
My big reveal was going to be my new vegetable cage. For the past two years pigeons and cabbage white have devastated my brassica crops. I bit the bullet and purchased a 1.5m high vegetable cage with butterfly proof netting. Yesterday was erection day. Tragedy. My beds are 3m x 1.5m. I ordered a cage 3.5m x 1.0m. My new bestie, Sabrina, has organised collection of the wrong cage and delivery of a replacement. I ❤️ Sabrina...........I'm sure she's kind, beautiful, understanding and deals with old fools every day. 😄
Out this afternoon to see The Beekeeper of Allepo, matinee of course, in Blackpool followed by tea at Ego in Lytham.

After 2 bad nights I slept long and heavy last night...... I am slowly coming round.
It was nice to be woken by the sound of rain and thunder but I dont know how much of it we had.
My plan was to have an early walk but I will hold back on that.

After getting notification about this year's Wimborne Folk Festival next month I took a look at last year's photo gallery of one of the Morris troupes. Wondered if any of the usual suspects on this thread had ever partaken. I can see an opening for Welshie or Mo with the Beltane troupe 😁

Good morning all, no rain or thunder and lightning over night here.
The flying beasties have hot me though, 11 bites in the back of my thigh and a few on my arms. I was out in the garden doing some watering and planting yesterday morning must of been had then.
I'll cut the grass and spend the day pottering around the garden again today.
