Started to make use of our new EH pass with a trip to Carisbrooke Castle. Nice spot for a light lunch, & of course had to watch the donkey drive the wheel to get the water up from the well 🤪
IOW Festival weekend coming up….DD & B/F arriving Thursday evening. Looking forward to The Cure, Kooks, Last Dinner Party, Suzanne Vega and many more 🍻

Grey and chilly here this morning.

Two coffees and breakfast consumed and just helped the BH clean the sofa.

Might do some gardening or sort more stuff out to get ready to sell.

Oh and it's chip van day so chip butty for lunch.

Im deffo gonna get one. Probably later in the year, but looking around d already just in case one appears locally.

Even when I was growing up in the 60s, there was much less cars. We used to manage to play football and tennis on the road in the village I grew up in and it was often at least 30 minutes or more before we had to stop for a car.

Yep, and no roundabouts ( in France anyway), no speed limits, no radar , no seat belts, and we all survived.
