Taken the dogs for a very short walk, just a few hundred yards up the road and back. Absolutely roasting. Dogs wont be going out now until the sun goes doon.

In this sort of weather I used to take mine to the local marine lake
she always walked down the seaward walk up to her chest in the water - which cooler her down

no idea why she did it - she did it no matter what the weather but it was a useful habit in summer

Just back from a most enjoyable 36 miles around the coastal lanes, getting pretty toasty now though.
I pulled over on a small backroad to allow a lorry to pass and wish I hadn't as I suspect it was carrying dead animals as it absolutely stank. Horrendous smell.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
27 deg outside here.

We had leftover chicken curry that I froze the other day so we are having what's left with rice.

I ventured out earlier for a run, did one 1k lap and headed back. Sore hamstring and too hot. Had a cool shower then went for a walk to Screwfix via the shaded woods. I have been looking everywhere locally for a Eunonymus Fortunei " Silver Queen ". It's to sit against the back wall of the outhouse which is adjacent to the back gate and faces the back door. The wall is north facing and gets very little sunlight. Apparently that species will become a climber if placed against a wall. My quest continues.
