There is was, debating what to have for tea when my daughter told me they were ordering a Chinese and asked do i want any. I'm never one to turn a good Chinese meal down

Busy today, carried on with the "clearance" and today was mostly photos and magazine articles plus the BH went through all her old Open University paperwork.

Afternoon was spent doing some fettling and bill paying.

Really, I hadnt realised that.

I have just learned that the reason most people get heavier with age is because of the huge amount of knowledge they have amassed in thier brain.
I have collected so much information that my brain couldn't store it all so some has been forced to spread to my body.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

My diabetic results were good below borderline 45
but my hb is low so I have amemia again,
yet I do take iron tablets, but it's only a low dose
I have to see the nurse again, so I'll get it sorted
but that is why I feel tired all the time,
and of course not getting a good night's sleep too.

My iron has been low for years - mostly due to Coeliac Disease
I have been on iron tablets for 4 or 5 years and it has risen a bit but is at the bottom of the acceptable range

The geriatric consultant (mutter mutter - I' not that old!!!!) was very firm that I need to start on infusions every month as the iron tablets aaas not good enough

GP seems to agree

but the Gastro consultant is less certain - so I now have to stop teh tablets for 3 months and have another test
in case my guts have fixed themselves
which seems unlikely

but anyway - to the point (finally) - it might be worth asking your GP if you should go to monthly infusions instead of tablets if teh tablets are not working properly

Weather today started of terrible

intermitant heavy rain and windy

better this afternoon so I decided it was time for a ride - managed my normal circular in spite of a load of puddles that have sprung up
Had to have a shower when I got back as my legs were covered in mud!!

when nearly back I passed a couple on the track coming towards me
I was riding into a strong head wind

the bloke was in front - as is correct so his wife and keep and eye on what he is doing wrong
as we passed he commented "Tail wind on the way home!!"

his wife commented "I'm not felling it yet!"

clearly she was not a real cyclist
real one know tail winds don;t exist!!

Well I've had a very lazy day today after my exploits at stage 9, they told us the final climb would be open from 12 noon it was nearer 2pm so 2 hours spent trying to shelter from the heat with hundreds of other cyclists, then they decided you couldn't ride up you had to walk, 7 km at around 9% in temp in the high 20's and then to top it all you couldn't access the last 400m, so I was absolutely knackered when I eventually got back to the van. Drove down to Murcia this morning, god it's hot mid 30's and still in the high 20's now, just an admin day, sorted the van, went and found a nice cafe with air conditioning, consumed various iced drinks some ice cream and a filled baguette, then a bit of shopping on the way back. Of back to the mountains tomorrow to get in place for stage 12 so should be a little cooler.

Well there's definitely a fault in the Matrix - bank holiday Monday and not a Carry-On film on TV !!! I need to double check but I didn't spot a James Bond film either. Fortunately I have a good collection of both on VHS

Still using VHS?
We have a ship load of DVDs and I was told that was obsolete technology!
