I'll probably get shot down in flames for posting on our local town page. Someone came across an injured deer at the side of the road and is blaming whatever driver hit it and didn't stop to help or call out a vet or something. Jeez, I am an animal lover but I've lived in the countryside long enough to know that deer and other wild animals get injured or sick all the time. As sad as it is, I don't feel it deserves calling out a vet or the SSPCA. Better just let nature take it's course or am I just being harsh?

I remember dad occasionally bringing one home. Used to just slit the throat and let it bleed out and then it got chopped up.

Good morning from Anglesey. The weather is glorious. We had a good walk yesterday and another planned today. Lots of laughs.

Our accommodation is a new experience for me. It's one of those farmhouse developments with half a dozen holiday homes. It's utterly soulless, sterile is another word. I won't leave an Airbnb review as I try to always be positive when reviewing unless somewhere is truly awful. All to a very high standard but completely lacking in character.

As an expert on the matter (not) and at the risk of being pedantic......if you mean he brought a dead deer home then it cant be bled out. Once the heart stops the blood stops flowing and only the small amount in the throat will bleed.
I only know as I had to check into it eons ago to help somebody that had religeous issues.
