I wouldn't consider an 11 year old car 'old'.
Generally speaking, small Suzukis don't fare much better than older Fiat Pandas in the corrosion stakes.

I don't consider an eleven year old car as old but some people do, its not like years ago when a car did well to make ten years old, I see more old Suzuki's than Fiats round here, I saw an 03 plate Wagon R the other day, they seem to be the most common ones.

Got back from my run and Mrs Tenkaykev loaded up the panniers and headed into Poole to do some shopping. I had a coffee and then jumped on the Brommie to follow her down. We went into the refurbished Wesleyan Church in the High Street and had lunch in the excellent café. Heading back around the bay I realised why the journey down had seemed so effortless, not my level of fitness, more the strong following following wind which was now head on. When we were in the café they had the front doors open as it was so mild☀️

Something I have noticed when visiting France, is, that "old" cars appear more common than in UK, particularly elderly Puegot and Renault models. No real idea why this should be so, certainly neither of those marques have a particularly good reliability reputation in the UK.

Something I have noticed when visiting France, is, that "old" cars appear more common than in UK, particularly elderly Puegot and Renault models. No real idea why this should be so, certainly neither of those marques have a particularly good reliability reputation in the UK.

It probably is because French people don't change their cars as often as English ones. As for reliability, I can tell from my own experience that they are reliable.

Hello. Dark and I haven't opened the back door for a look outside. No PBs for us this month. Now interest rates are up I may have a look for an alternative. I vaguely recall seeing mention of an account paying 7% which seems extraordinary. Needless to say I didn't make a note.

Later I will hoover and dust downstairs. Very little to do really as all the tidying was done yesterday.

About 80 turned out for yesterday's protest. Not bad considering it started at 8.45 and was 30 minutes drive from the GP practice. Very middle class protest. People brought folding chairs, some brought the dog with them. Damn cold. The ICB Chair has issued a written statement saying the contract has not been signed and there will be a full review of all the objections and questions raised by the public. Sadly no press coverage.

Power to the People.

I’m going for an eye test on Tuesday. I feel my sight has deteriorated since the last time I was there. Not paying for new frames though as they are bloody expensive so I’ll just take my existing specs up and get new lenses fitted.

We have rain here just now that’s not to clear until late morning so I’ll forego my usual early morning walk.

The 7% account I have has the usual “ gotcha “
Mine is with Chase, you can only put in a maximum of £300 per month over 12 months, so they’re only paying you 7% per annum on the first £300, the second for 11 months etc.
