We’re planning a walk to Swanage as soon as the Sandbanks chain ferry gets back from repairs in Falmouth. It should have been back in service in December but got damaged while under tow to Falmouth and is waiting for spare parts to be manufactured and shipped from Poland.
It’s a really nice walk, we usually have pea fritter and chips on the prom at Swanage before getting the bus back to Poole.

What on earth is a pea fritter 🤥

Best you don't find out, given your love of peas.

That's quite a diversion, puts a few miles onthe route studland.

Yes indeed. if you start on the Studland side and cycle round the harbour to the other side it's only about 100 metres as the crow flies, but 26 miles on the bike! I feel sorry for the people who live in Swanage and have to commute, the Ferry company had a special rate for people who travel to / from work but now they have to drive the long way round, and there are a couple of very busy sections where traffic is often held up.

A pea fritter is the peak of fried excellence. Take a portion of chip shop mushy peas and add a generous amount of black pepper. mould into a ball that's a bit smaller than a tennis ball and dip immerse in fresh batter. Drop into the oil from a height sufficient to create a small "comets tail " effect and fry until crispy and golden. Allow to cool for a while and then bite into the crunchy mix of chip shop batter and mushy peas.
Peas being very high in protein and a vegetable a pea fritter probably counts as two of your recommended five a day...

Had my first road ride today since October 11.
Managed 11miles .Took me 54 minutes so not too bad Absolutely cream crackered

Spooky. My first one today since 28th August, also 11 miles, sorry only 45 minutes. I think my mojo was hiding behind my track pump. Didn't really enjoy it but I rarely do for the first few. First ride on a new saddle as well which was also one of the reasons I didn't enjoy it so much, sore arse at the mo!

Being a local to the area she does a lot of her driving in, Cold Edge Road, whery Tommy Lee Roy was picked up by the van. She disappears into the mist whilst chasing some strange lights in the sky.

There's been a few round these parts.
I were reight.
The mist and lights were there on Cold Edge Road. During daylight hours!

She'd be great as a satnav though.
Sending you off down the wrong road all the while telling you she knows where you're headed.
