Thank you. A great recipe but also brought back so many memories. My mother had a recipe book crammed with hand and type written recipes. Brilliant 👏

Whereas I have a file on my laptop...........

After my mum passed away last autumn, I found out that she had left me all of her old recipe books from about 60/70 years ago. They used to have old Be Ro (flour) recipe books and mum collected them all. She wrote in the margins of a lot of them. It's nice to see my mums handwriting. It's a great reminder of her.

Plans for visit to Stoke .went somewhat down the pan.Poured with rain so the walk didn’t take place so we drove to Stone.Still went to the Joules Brewery for coffee.Had a wander round Stone Spoons for lunch.
We had to do the two Mrs off at Trentham Gardens while myself went and Alan went to Stafford hospital to transport Keith the other reprobate home to and
to Mrs k following knee surgery..If anything put me off having knee surgery this was it .Poor bloke was in agony trying to get him into the car.

I'm awake as well but did sleep till 5.30. I'm now going to write my treasurer's report for the u3a. I finished the accounts last night, started the report and then lost the will to live.

Sat down with a nice IPA and watched Life of Brian. I could probably receit the script word for word but it still makes me laugh out loud.
