I've long been of the same opinion. I've heard numerous alarms over the years and never taken any action other than on a Tesla.
If one approaches a Tesla it wakes up and starts recording. This lead to hours of fun when a neighbour bought a Tesla........we did get bored of the game eventually. 🤣

I have heard that a baseball bat is far more effective than a burglar alarm, and cheaper as well
