Anyway......our hospital visit yesterday......it was extremely hard work and exhausting.
As instructed, we were waiting for the ambulance at 0800 and got home after 1700.
They did what they call 'top to toe' exam. There were about 8 specialist nurses involved between them they really did everything, all possible strength and reflex tests imaginable.
The results.......
1) I have long covid (although there is no way to prove that) and there is no cure.
2) they have given me exercises to improve my balance and lower leg strength.
3) I have a severe vitamin D deficiency and they have given me a massive dose of high strength tablets plus solulable magnesium.
4) we have to go back asap for Cat Scans.

Phew, we were well and truly knackered.

Morning all :hello:

Off to the tip first thing.
Bit of gardening later and I've also got to run the caravan up on electric to check out all of the systems. I did it on gas yesterday and all seemed OK. The water system needs flushing through, as it's had sterilising solution in overnight. After that it needs a thorough cleaning and it will be good to go. Don't know when we'll get away though - maybe later in the year.

Barnet,
Morning all.
Sainsbury's have delivered the fortnightly order, it's getting more expensive every month for less and less.
The washing machine is doing it's stuff, as as it's going to be a good drying day, another load will go on after the bedding.
British gas are coming to service the boiler this morning, last year the engineer was here for all of 5 minutes, did an emissions test, said everything was ok and went. I shall be watching more closely this year.
All the normal stuff to do today, dog walking, with maybe a pint or two in the Mitre at lunchtime. 🍺🍺

3) I have a severe vitamin D deficiency

Extra vitamin D was one of the things touted to improve the chances of not catching Covid or it being milder, so maybe that's why it hit you so hard if you were deficient? I take a supplement all year round.

Chilly but lovely 8.7 mile walk done. Was hungry after that so porridge has been scoffed. Cuppa now.......and my vitamins.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Yes it was vitamin D. I take it every day. Lots of Dr's are extolling the benefits of Viram D to help fend off covid. Seems to have worked for me.
