Morning all
I currently have 6 sofas!
2 new ones in the living room, 2 old ones in the dining room and 2 knackered ones in the garage.
Off to the tip first thing to dump one of them out of the garage.
The old sofa bed in the garage is being collected by a charity shop soon. The 3 seater in the dining room will be sold. MrsD's keeping the 2 seater so she can read and watch her birdies on her patio.
We've pretty much got the furniture situation sorted now; just waiting for the main dining table to be delivered on Wednesday.
Time to sit down and calculate how much the move has cost us, all in. I'd budgeted 20K. MrsD seems to think we've come in at around 15K - so that leaves enough to buy her a car.

That were a good sleep. I had a couple of drinks while watching the match, was in bed before 2200, woke at 0530 for a widdle then back to bed. Woke again at 0700.....a success.
BTW @welsh dragon I had my eggs and chips AND one of the eggs was a double yolker. Can't remember when I last had one of those.

Good morning all.
Today MrsP and myself are off to Cheinies Manor for the Tulip festival.
Personally I think many of the tulips will be past their best, but MrsP wants to go, so go we will.
MissP is also coming, and then having tea at our place later on. Which will be baked Salmon with fresh salad.

Just got back from walking the dog. Since I last ventured out yesterday morning the village is suddenly bedecked in bunting and pictures of the King.

The area is staunchly Conservative - not starting a political discussion or making a judgement, just stating a fact in order to illustrate the point and paint the picture hereabouts - and I suspect that when the UK one day becomes a Republic the village will become a breakaway monorachy. Perhaps a nice dukedom for me when that happens? I've surely earned it, with my years of dedicated service to keeping the mods busy 
The last time any scumbags tried anything in our village - smashing up the pub because they were jolly upset at being asked to leave because of their behaviour - they got slapped about by the locals. And then sent to prison Those sort of outcomes tend to dampen the ardour of any local sheetbags.
