Done walking it's 30.8c here

It's about 19 here and I was toiling. Just a gentle stroll before it gets any hotter and busier.

I have some chicken in the fridge so will make a sarnie for lunch soon.

I won't be back out as I just don't enjoy it. The blinds will get shut and the fan switched on if it gets too bad. I think the plan while it's like this will do any serious exercise early in the morning, a gentle stroll before lunch then hide indoors in the hottest part of the day.

Barnet,
I walked Millie early this morning, it was still registering 28⁰ c by the time we got back at 9. She does like going in the brook to cool off though.
I have cycled to the shops, got what we needed. I am now drinking a pint of cold water and dripping with perspiration. It has reached 31⁰c now. I'm not a hot weather person, MrsP is though. She is happy.

I've been for a bimble, my Meriden loop, the slowest one I do these days, includes the long drag up Harvest Hill Lane and the climb up Cornets End lane, 25 miles ridden and the first one since I started riding again that I truly enjoyed, no mechanicals or trips into the scenery, lovely morning, bright, sunny and breezy, cool at first but getting warm as the ride progressed, by the end of the ride I was over dressed, I was working like a slave into the breeze and flying before it, great fun and should help my fitness. I enjoyed that.

Well done dave r. 25 miles . Currently that’s a long ride for me I’ve only done 135 miles so far Gradually building up my three alternate days a week I will have to stop chickening out when it’s a bit breezy

I've been for a walk. A week since I took a tumble and it was great to get out of the house and get some fresh air. Bruising has just come out, for some reason on the back of my arm. Got an appointment with the Fracture clinic on the 20th. They have to wait for all the peripheral damage to calm down before they can have a good poke around. Mrs Tenkaykev has bought me a lovely present, it's a new sling and it's great, handmade by lasses in Lancashire 👍
Another plus is that I'm almost a dead cert for this years running clubs " Top Tumbler " achievement 😁

according to lightingmaps.org it is over North Wales and bits over Liverpool and the Wirral

according to Windy (weather "radar" ) site it look like all the flashy noisy stuff will pass to the south and west of us

can someone arrange for it to come over here please

it is exciting - and the lawn needs to water

maybe if everyone in North Wale blows a bit?????
