Very changeable day here, rain /sun / cloud/wind... repeat.

Spent part of the day completing my Self Assessment Tax Return, looks like HMRC owe me £1.80... whoopee!

Its very quiet here now, our lads gone home, I drove him to the station tea time, and reminded myself why I'm glad I rarely need to drive across Coventry in the rush hour, he text me about half eight to say he got home safely. Its nice to have them visit for a while but its also nice when they go back home.

Morning all.
Is it too early for a confession ?? Then I will begin🙂
You may recall me saying that my daughter was coming for lunch and I had planned to create an omelette masterpiece. The only problem being that I had no mushrooms!!
So, 0800 found me in the Coop. Mushrooms were nice ie big, fresh and white.......so got a large punnet.
So.......1300 hrs and I was telling my daughter about my culinary masterpiece when.........
Wait for it........
She reminded me that she can't stand mushrooms!!!
All came back to me then. Even as a little girl she could not eat them.

Well, how was I to know? She is, after all, my only daughter😀

Hello! It was beautiful when I woke at 7.00, grey and miserable looking now. I'll finish my coffee, do my stretches and then the ironing. Stairs and bedrooms need cleaning as well.

I have to pop into town, collect meds, other chores and while I'm out I'll visit a couple of local bodyshops. The scuff on the bumper is too deep for me to tackle. I think I'll be told the whole bumper needs respraying though I feel it should be possible to patch it. I'm going to try some of the "ding" guys as well. I

It's only minor but I can't live with it for the next however many years. My car is a Hyundai i30, eight years old, 40000 miles and I really like her. No plans for a replacement so I'm just not going to live with the scuff.

I saw a YouTube video where the guy repaired his plastic bumper by using a soldering iron to melt black cable ties into the gouge/ deep scrape. He then finished it of by paring away the excess followed by smoothing with a very fine wet and dry and finally usung a " rattle can " to spray over it. It looked immaculate.

Morning folks ^_^ definitely a day for a ride as its a sou-westerly which on my circular ride will give me a tail wind on the A9. Anyone holidaying up here would enjoy this ride- its very scenic and the descent into Golspie is beautiful as the sea can be seen in the distance on the approach. My chainring is on its way out but hopefully wont get too much chain slip to get me round  a new one came through the post yesterday but waiting on some hex sockets to arrive so i can get the ****** off! ^_^

I believe you can also melt them in acetone and paint it on and continue with the wet and dry.

Plastic is fairly easy to get a good finish, I should know my wife is attracted to hitting walls with hers.
