What time were breakfast this morning?

Road race has just started - so watching that at the mo - see what happens - when SWMBO gets up she will want something else on
(pretty much ANYTHING else!!!)
although at least she caught up with Corrie yesterday while I was watching the track cycling and doing shopping

outside it is intermittently chucking it down - no chance of cutting the lawn today although it really needs it

Morning all :hello:

'Storm Antoni' turned out to be a bit of a damp squib here. We had a couple of hours of windy weather; but nowhere near the figures forecast and not a lot of rain.
Why are we expected to believe the global climate change forecasters stories of doom and gloom in decades to come, when they can't even get the 24 hour weather forecast for Somerset correct?
Off out for a walk later and lunch at the Star.

oooohhhh! would you care to post that in NACA?, that would set the feathers flying, we could have entertainment for days, perhaps even weeks! ;)

In the meantime, we have really odd weather here at moment, sky is a strange blue colour, and, there is a sort of orange moon shaped object in the sky.

Not raining, so, a hosepipe ban is imminent. ;)

Back again while I have coffee. Managed 2½ hours more sleep, not just dozing. I'll finish this coffee, do stretching and exercises, tidy round and then have breakfast.

Mrs P should have surfaced by then so we'll go to Manchester and start stripping.

I know there is a cost of living crisis, but, are you really in such dire straits? ;)

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Can I just ask - why do so many of you get up so early?

Serious question and not judgemental either - just intrigued.

After long careers of getting up early we must've subconciously decided that it really wasn't for us - we only do it for eg holiday travel reasons or an exceptionally long day in the Fells etc.

I know we would be outliers on a bell graph showing going to bed times but also cannot understand people going to bed so early - anything before midnight would be considered unusual for us and 9pm, 10pm etc would be reserved for times of illness etc.

***

In other News - no rain today so will mow front lawns, off to ASDA (yuk!), will watch a bit of the Mens Race inbetween.

We have decided on another party night tonight for the hell of it.

Have a good day all.

Been suffering from insomnia for at least 12 years now so just can't lie in bed. Plus I love early mornings when it's quiet.
