How were they able to prove who owned them, and did they explain how they came by them?

Apparently Victoria's undergarments were all monogrammed VR. She used to give them away to her staff before they had worn out.

It boils down to me being tired and sleepy by 10.00pm and only needing around six hours sleep so I wake about 4.00am. The problem with this is if I have a poor night I might waje around 2.30/3.00 and that's just way too early. When I wake my body may be tired but my mind starts to work and I simply can't sleep.

I had hoped retirement would change this but it hasn't. I've made serious efforts to move my bedtime to 11.00pm but I can't, just fall asleep in the chair and/or still wake at 4.00am.

On the plus side I do enjoy being downstairs alone in the early morning.

Today being a good example of this. Woke up with two things on my mind. Been downstairs and done them, now retired to the spare room in the hope of drifting off to sleep again.

Morning. Slightly better sleep last night. Went to bed at 11.15, took a couple of hours to get off and back up at 5.30. That seems to be about as good as it gets these days.

Looks like a decent day in prospect. Quite cool just now though.

Old Queen Vic's drawers were small fry compared to mine.

Good morning all.
A nice sunny start to the day here in Barnet.
I'll be out with the dog soon, and then I will watch the womens football England v Nigeria. KO. 08.30.
Sainsbury's are delivering between 0930 and 1030, we needed some essentials so I put another order in.
Our daughter and son are calling in this afternoon, so I'm going to do a Sunday roast chicken dinner today. Just need to get to the local butcher to get one of his large chickens. Yesterday MrsP and myself had quiche and salad instead.
If it stays dry I'll cut the grass later once it has dried off.
Another busy day in paradise.

A nice day is dawning. Set the alarm for 7.30 and woke at 7.28! Time for coffee, breakfast and cycling. Nothing is stopping the ride today. Two weeks since I last got out, weather and life has been in the way.
