The executor, I take it it is yourself, can apply to the bank once probate is finalised for the funds. The account is probably on hold until you apply for it.

I could be wrong, but, I thought that, on death of a spouse, ISAs could be transferred to the the surviving spouse (subject to will), thus preserving ISA benefits?

Too late now but that's why LPA's are essential imo.

Yes. I have done LPA for Mrs @BoldonLad (who is suffering early stages of dementia), and, I have to do my own, next, just in case.

I did them myself, using their website. Not really difficult, but, a bit time consuming. Most arduous part, I thought, was getting all of the signatures in the right order!

VOTED BEST JOKE IN IRELAND
John O'Reilly hoisted his beer and said, "Here's to spending the rest of me Life, between the legs of me wife!"
That won him the top prize at the pub for the best toast of the night!
He went home and told his wife, Mary, "I won the prize for the Best toast of the night."
She said, "Aye, did ye now. And what was your toast?"
John said, "Here's to spending the rest of me life, sitting in church beside me wife."
"Oh, that is very nice indeed, John!” Mary said.
The next day, Mary ran into one of John's drinking buddies on the street Corner. The man chuckled leeringly and said, "John won the prize the other night at the pub with a toast about you, Mary."
She said, "Aye, he told me, and I was a bit surprised myself. You know, he's only been in there twice in the last four years. Once I had to pull him by the ears to make him come, and the other time he fell asleep".

18 year old CRV went straight through MOT - no advisories. That'll do me. :okay:
Went to the Bell for lunch.

Always a good feeling.

The MOTmon the 2008 is due in October and it'll need a service. A bit irksome as the new car is due to arrive in January, but the old one is useless without and MOT.

I have to keep the service history going or they won't honour the trade in quote (despite the long waiting time and the 2008 devaluing over that period they'll honour the original quote.)
