I have risen!

Chatting to my oldest daughter yesterday. She prefers the company of women, so to speak, and while cutting someone's hair (she owns a hair salon) the punter asked "so what pronoun do you use?"

My lass has an evil sense of humour and decided to innocently respond "what's a pronoun?"

One of my worst subjects at school and since.
I don't have the type of brain to get around it.
Below is an example of what confused me

Common nouns, proper nouns, abstract nouns, and concrete nouns are our go-to nouns but there are many types of nouns ready to get in the game.

and that is just 'nouns' 🤔

Pouring down out there in biblical fashion.

Not long woke up and trying to decide whether or not to get up.

Bit of a different Saturday night for us...

Binge-watched all 6 episodes of Painkiller on Netflix until 1am. Do watch this as it is brilliant and really draws you in. It is based on real life events and ultimately forces you down the route of pronouncing judgement on the US of A legal system. Seriously, don't miss it - you will get fully absorbed and wound up!

Bashed some music on at 1pm and at around 2am Mrs SD decides we need a rare musical retro visit vis-a-vis Reggae from her teenage years.

3 Hours later we hit the sack with some lovey-dovey bedroom tunes and finally crashed out at just gone 7am.

Fab' night.

Unsurprisingly, not much is on the cards today although watching Chelsea's new look team is on the menu. Hope they do ok although realistically they are a couple of seasons away from top-tier. They may surprise us though...

Happy Days to you all!

Went out for an Indian meal last night and whilst the food was nice it wasn't a great experience.

It was too brightly lit (hate that) and it just didn't have that 'authentic' Indian restaurant ambience.

Apart from the lighting being too bright the modern wooden floors, 'granite' table tops and an Eiffel Tower picture didn't transport us to a faraway place. We didn't research the place well enough is our conclusion.

Call us old-fashioned if you wish...

Hope you are all enjoying your day thus far!

As much as I enjoy Indian food, I seldom find the "Indian Restaurant" experience very enjoyable. The most frequent turn off, for me, is that most of them appear to confuse speed with good service.

Ha, ha. I did not realise there were such things as verbs, nouns, etc etc, until, at 11 years old, we were taught French at Senior School. Suddenly, there was talk of "conjugating verbs", "regular verbs", etc etc. I didn't even know what a verb was (I must have been off school the day they did all that stuff).

I am still very hazy on most of it, and, failed my "O" level French, but, I seem to have managed to survive to my 76th year without it. ;)

We always ask them to slow down - caused some consternation at the rather excellent Barton Rouge in Chester a while back.

Still eating starters and out came the mains - the waiter just stood there with a gormless look on his face waiting for us to do who knows what.

Mrs SD straightened him out plus dealt with the owner too (very politely) and got a profuse apology in return.
